| dc.description.abstract | This Research’s purpose is to explain the main reason and the implementation of the sister city cooperation between Jakarta and Bangkok. The sister city cooperation started by signing an LoI from both party in 2000, and then the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Mayor of Jakarta and Bangkok in 2002. In the process of explaining the matters, Qualitative method was used with a document-based and internet-based research as the data collecting technique and also using interview with the province government of DKI Jakarta. City Diplomacy concept is used to analyze Jakarta implementation in cooperating with Bangkok. Sister city cooperation between Jakarta and Bangkok targeted collaboration in many sectors such as trade and investments, Tourism promotions and management, area traffic control, city planning, human resource management, and local government administration. This Research focused on the sister city cooperation’s implementation between Jakarta and Bangkok that based on Memorandum of Understanding they have agreed and signed. It will be analyzed how is the implementation of cooperation as how it printed on the MoU, then the infrastructure of this sister city will be explained based on the MoU. This research focused on implementation of the sister city cooperation between two cities after the signing.. | en_US |
