Fenomena Pengantin Pesanan dari Kalimantan ke Cina melalui Perspektif Feminisme Sosialis

Abstract

Cases of trafficking in women have spread in various parts of Indonesia as another form of modern slavery. Kalimantan is one of the areas in Indonesia that has the most cases of trafficking in women and is rampant through the practice of bride trafficking destined for China. This transnational crime has been operating for years supported by the social, culture, and economic conditions of the two countries which make victims vulnerable to experiencing oppression. This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of order brides from Kalimantan to China as a form of trafficking in women through the lens of socialist feminism. This research is interpretive research that uses qualitative research methods in its preparation. The results of this study show that women in the phenomenon of mail-order brides from Kalimantan to China are the most disadvantaged victims of all forms of oppression of women in various aspects and spaces.
