    Abstract
China is one of the countries in Asia which need to be evaluated for its commitment towards their women rights treaties because gender-based violence is still very common, especially sexual violence against women and girls. Patrirchy culture has been going on for a long time and has become a common tradition. This disorder attracts victims of gender-based violence, especially sexual violence to not report any cases of abuse that befall them. Besides cultural factors, the legal basis for protecting women in China also does not really protect them. The #MeToo Movement is a social movement that seeks to minimize sexual violence against women by encouraging victims to speak up their experiences on social media. This movement finally appeared in China as #WoYeShi which is mandarin for Me Too. In this study, the author will focus on examining the role of #MeToo movement in raising awareness about sexual violence and its influence in minimizing cases of sexual abuse in China as #WoYeShi. Specifically, this study will take a deeper look into the penetration of the #WoYeShi movement in the Beihang University case. The research method that will be used is analytical descriptive, with focus on concluding the main problem. In this research, the author used the theory of liberal feminism, the concept of sisterhood and the concept of network society.
