Abstract

A distribution substation is a substation that functions to lower the voltage from medium voltage to low voltage to be distributed to consumers. In the process of distributing eneregy from the generator to the load, itsn’t completely distributed properly. Sometimes the distributin process becomes hampered due to interference caused from within or outside the network. Therefore, these disturbances can be overcome with safety components such as fuse cut outs, lightning arresters, low voltage switchboards and grounding systems at distribution substations which are used to keep distribution substations working optimally.
