    Abstract
The addition of Magnesium Oxide (MgO) metal and also Sulfur (S) as doping materials to reduce Graphene Oxide using the hydrothermal method described in this research. Synthesis of Graphite into Graphene Oxide was carried out based on Hummer's method and MgS-rGO Synthesis used the Hydrothermal method. The characteristics of MgS-rGO were analyzed using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Raman Spectroscopy and SEM-EDX. The addition of MgO and S shows an increase in amorphous structure and the addition of chemical bonding functional groups. On the other hand, an electrochemical test was carried out in the form of Cyclic Voltammetry (CV). The addition of Mg and S can increase the specific capacitance value of rGO. CV results show the capacitance of GO and rGO is 0.028 F/g and 0.035 F/g. After being doped with MgS-rGO with a ratio of 1:4 v/v, the specific capacitance increased by 12,212 F/g.
