    Abstract
This research is about the China-India border dispute in 2020-2023 with the aim of finding out the factors that cause the status quo of the China-India border dispute at the Line of Actual Control in the period 2020-2023. China and India are two large countries located in the Asian region which is limited by the Line of Actual Control. However, the two countries continue to be involved in a dispute that has not been resolved until at least 2020 – 2023, resulting in human and material casualties from China and India. The method used in this research is a qualitative research method using a data processing method called the analytical descriptive method. This research found that the factors causing the status quo of the China- India border dispute at the Line of Actual Control in 2020-2023 include China's concerns about external balancing efforts carried out by India and the United States through the Quad and also the existence of economic interests in India as a trading partner and investment destination for China.
