dc.description.abstractThis research is about looking at the effect of implementation re-order point using the inventory system method Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Period Order Quantity (POQ) on PT XX inventory with the aim of being able to help PT XX overcome the problems it is currently facing, namely lost sales or lost sales resulting from inventory shortages cardboard box which is an object that the company uses to send the goods being sold to the buyer so that the goods are not damaged while on the way to the buyer's place. From January 2023 to July 2023 the company will not be able to meet demand at this point service level The existing rate is 95% where the average company is only able to meet up to 64%service level which occurs due to the absence of inventory planning, especially the absence of inventory re-order point when in stock cardboard box reached a certain point to be reordered to avoid out of stock. The method used is Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Period Order Quantity (POQ). The results show which EOQ method is the best method that can provide a reduction effect lost sales PT XX was 100% with conditions where demand planning for that period was in accordance with existing demand, while the POQ method almost reached 100% where in one month the company still experienced a shortage of inventory cardboard box.en_US
