dc.description.abstract | Pt. Pupuk Iskandar Muda is a subsidiary of PT. Indonesian fertilizer engaged in fertilizer manufacture industry, PT. Iskandar Muda Fertilizer was built to meet the demand for fertilizer in the western part of Indonesia. Currently the production of urea fertilizer PT. Iskandar Muda fertilizer is over-produced so that the storage warehouse experiences overstock caused by the amount of urea fertilizer production carried out on a monthly always exceeding the demand of the fertilizer. Aggregate Planning is one method to determine the amount of production with some consideration of one of the resources owned by the company itself. In this study used aggregate planning with pure strategy namely strategy level and chase strategy where at the strategy level consider the production capacity of the company so that to meet the demand the company will conduct production in accordance with its capacity only, while chase strategy considers demand so that production is done based on demand and if the production capacity can not meet the demand in that month then will be done production overtime. The strategy chosen to determine the amount of production 1 period in the future is chase strategy where in the strategy is carried out overtime production in the 6th to 12th month to meet the demand in the month with the total cost to be incurred to apply this strategy is Rp.188.322.225 and for the production rate in each month of the period is 49382.0833 tons. | en_US |
