dc.description.abstract | PT Multi Terminal Indonesia (PT MTI) is a leading logistics company in
Indonesia that offers halal logistics & cold storage (HLC) services. PT MTI is faced
with the need for consumers to guarantee the halalness of the products they use.
Halal traceability enables cold storage to accurately track the origin and halal
status of products, including manufacturing, handling, storage and other related
activities. Consumers require transparency in product handling to ensure
compliance with Islamic law. This is a consideration for companies in maintaining
halal business integrity. Companies strive to provide the best service and
transparency to customers. This research aims to identify important elements in
maintaining the integrity of halal products in cold storage using the ISM method
and propose an effective halal traceability framework for companies. The approach
used involves ISM and MICMAC with the help of ISM Professional 2.0 software to
process primary data from questionnaires distributed to related parties. Based on
the research results, 17 key elements were identified to maintain the integrity of
halal products in cold storage. All these elements are needed in designing a
blockchain framework for halal traceability system. The proposed blockchain
system is a consortium network to ensure the security of halal product data.
Blockchain integration will be a reliable and effective solution in maintaining the
integrity of halal products. However, blockchain implementation will require
proper resource allocation and customisation to maintain operational efficiency.
Nonetheless, it can improve the transparency, accountability, and efficiency of the
halal product supply chain. Optimal utilisation of blockchain by considering its
strengths and weaknesses can strengthen PT MTI's position as a halal industry
leader, while providing added value to consumers and other stakeholders. | en_US |
