Abstract

Italy is one of them objective the largest influx of migrant smuggling in European Union member states and part Most of the migrants come from Africa. The close geographic location, always dynamic politics and the unpatented defense systems of each country mean that migrants from Libya enter European territory and Europe's efforts to combat human trafficking and migrant smuggling are still not clear. In this research, researchers focus on the efforts made by the European Union as organization international which is divided into organizational types multi purpose Which own authority to maintain the security of its member countries. In order to analyze the role of the European Union in eradicating migrant smuggling in Italy, researchers analyzed the efforts made by the European Union and its role by type organization international from Amici's idea which involves an analysis of programs, regulations and other efforts from the European Union as organization regional with many tasks and objectives. For study This research issue is deeper, researchers collect information and data using qualitative research methods with literature studies as the main source of data and information obtained from journals, books, official organizational pages and documents published by both the European Union and official institutions of the European Union. Based on analysis using Amici's type of international organization, the researchers obtained the results that, the European Union continues and always makes efforts to suppress and eradicate the influx of migrants to Italy, these efforts have formed the existence of international institutions, operations and regulations issued by the European Union. The conclusion from these efforts is that the European Union has not been able to work optimally and tends to be slow in dealing with the issue of migrant smuggling. This is in line with the results of researchers' findings which show that, in the formation of the EU's renewed plan against migrant smuggling 2021-2025, there are gaps and shows inconsistent attitudes and regulations from the European Union.
