The application of PLTS is widely used as one of the renewable energies. However, PLTS is a generator with an intermittent energy source, producing fluctuating amounts of electrical energy. So that PLTS requires a battery with the aim that the distribution of electrical energy becomes consistent and stable. One solution to overcome this is to use the CAES energy storage system or Compressed Air Energy Storage, which is a compressed air energy storage technology for the purposes of large-scale electricity operations. CAES has a working principle of compressing the surrounding air to be stored in a large container that has the appropriate air pressure such as salt caverns, aquifers. The research was conducted using the IEEE 118 Bus system with the aim of minimizing operational-cost, increasing thermal generator efficiency and reducing emissions. The method used is Mix Integer Linear Programming (MILP) with CPLEX Solver. The results of this final project research are that the system shows a decrease in cost and power to a minimum of 51% of the Conventional plant SCUC when PV, CAES and Phase Shifter are added.en_US
