    Abstract
The need for food is a crucial aspect of human life, and as the global population increases, demand for food will continue to increase. One important source of animal protein is fish, but fish production from natural catches is not able to meet the increasing demand. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase fish production efficiently through the development of the aquaculture sector. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to use advanced devices such as Smart Buoys to increase the efficiency of the aquaculture sector which requires less human labor. By utilizing sensors installed on the Smart Buoy, information regarding air temperature, pool conditions, and pool environment is provided, thus providing a real-time physical representation of the pool. This research method is to design the system and carry out alternative testing in fishing ponds to test the system's performance. As a result, a prototype of a smart buoy has been designed that can monitor the physical representation of the pool and display the data using the LoRa communication protocol on the website that has been designed. So that the data resulting from real-time monitoring can be accessed via the website from a browser. This data becomes the basis for making more precise and effective decisions in pond management. Therefore, the use of Smart Buoys is very important in the transformation towards a more sustainable and competitive aquaculture.
