Analisis Pengaruh Idle Time terhadap Produktivitas Bongkar Muat Batu Bara (Studi Kasus: Dermaga Samudra PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok Cabang Bengkulu)
Abstract
PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok Branch Bengkulu is a stevedoring service company
that provides cargo handling services and receiving/delivery services. This study focuses on
the influence of idle time on the productivity of coal loading and unloading, which is a
concern in port operations. Idle time refers to the ineffective or unproductive time wasted
while the ship is berthed, caused by factors such as rainy weather, damaged loading and
unloading equipment, and the size and texture of the coal. Productivity/performance
indicators for loading and unloading are divided into 2 categories: (1) Ton Gang per Hour
(T/G/H), which is the amount of goods loaded/unloaded in one working hour. (2) Ton per
Ship per Hour (T/S/H/P) represents the amount of goods that can be loaded or unloaded to
and from the ship while it is docked at the pier. This study uses descriptive and simple linear
regression methods because these 2 analytical methods are based on objective calculations
to solve problems that can be measured. The author is investigating the influence of idle time
(IT) on the productivity of coal loading and unloading at the Samudra Pier of PT Pelabuhan
Tanjung Priok Branch Bengkulu. The results of the study indicate that the factor "Others"
has the most significant influence on the productivity of coal loading and unloading at the
Samudra Pier. The influence of idle time on the productivity of coal loading and unloading
is 39.3% of the variation in loading and unloading productivity (T/G/H), and the Sig value
is 0.029 < 0.05, so Ho is rejected, concluding that there is a significant influence of idle time
on the productivity of coal loading and unloading (T/G/H) significantly. This means it can
be concluded that there is a significant influence between idle time and the productivity of
coal loading and unloading at the Samudra Pier of PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok Branch
Bengkulu.
