Analisis Kebijakan Luar Negeri Amerika Serikat Di Era Donald Trump Dan Joe Biden Dan Dampaknya Bagi Perdamaian Di Afghanistan
Abstract
The United States attempted to create peace in Afghanistan after eradicating terrorism in 2001. The United States attempted to create peace in Afghanistan in various ways and dynamics, until finally during the Joe Biden administration the United States withdrew its troops from Afghanistan. This research examines the efforts of the United States and the differences in the peace and security conditions of Afghanistan when the United States was present, namely in the Donald Trump era and the transition in the Joe Biden era to the security conditions after the absence of the United States in Afghanistan. In examining the success of the United States' efforts to create peace, the author uses the Kantian Triangle Theory which was initiated by Immanuel Kant. In the process, this research uses qualitative methods with the data collection technique used is internet-based research. The secondary data that researchers obtained came from books, research journals, official documents and credible websites. The result is that the influence of foreign policy in the Donald Trump era was better than in the Joe Biden era. The reason is that the three pillars in the Kantian triangle theory have experienced a decline due to Joe Biden's foreign policy towards Afghanistan. Judging from the Kantian Triangle theory, this means that there will be the potential for instability or upheaval in Afghanistan at some point, even though the current condition of Afghanistan is better than before the intervention from the United States.
