dc.description.abstractThe development of energy storage systems in the form of batteries in electric vehicles still has limitations in terms of safety levels. One solution to overcome these limitations is to implement All Solid State Batteries (ASSB) using solid electrolytes that have a better level of safety than flammable liquid electrolytes. LATP (Li1.3Al0.3Ti1.7(PO4)3) solid electrolyte has the potential for ASSB application because it has high conductivity, wide electrochemicals windows and good air stability. However, when compared to liquid electrolytes, the conductivity of LATP is certainly still lower, so it is necessary to increase its value before further application. In this study, LATP was synthesized using solid state reaction method at 850°C, using lithium precursor sourced from Li3PO4. In addition, the addition of lanthanum dopant with La dopant variation (x La = 0; 0.05; 0.1; 0.15) for Aluminum (Al) substitution was carried out in order to increase the conductivity of LATP solid electrolyte. The results of the LATP solid electrolyte characterization test using XRD showed that all samples formed lead to the main phase of LTP with a purity above 98% and also formed minor phases in the form of AlPO4 in the range of 0.4-0.8% and LaPO4 in the LATP 3 sample of 1.1%. SEM results also showed inhomogeneity in all samples due to the minor phases produced. In addition, the EIS conductivity test results also show that the substitution of La with Al can increase the conductivity of LATP and this is evident in the LATP 4 sample doped with 0.15 %mol La which has the highest conductivity of 1.3072×10-5 S/cm. These results are in accordance with the XRD diffraction pattern which shows the largest LiTi2(PO4)3 main phase in the LATP 4 sample of about 99.6% and also the SEM shows the high homogeneity of the LATP 4 sample with an average particle size of about 0.87 µm.en_US
