Second life batteries are those that have been retired from their original use in electric vehicles but still have a significant amount of useful life left. These batteries can be repurposed to power street lights, reducing the amount of waste in landfills and the need for new battery production. This project proposes a sustainable solution for street lighting by using second life. The design involves the installation of LED street lights powered by a battery bank made up of second life batteries, which have reached the end of their useful life in electric vehicles but still retain a significant amount of their capacity. The project is expected to have significant environmental and economic benefits, as well as providing a valuable case study for the potential applications of second life batteries in other areas of sustainable infrastructureen_US
