DIPLOMASI ENERGI CINA DALAM MENGAMANKAN SUPLAI ENERGI DI TENGAH ESKALASI KONFLIK DARFUR TAHUN 2015-2020
Abstract
China is one of the countries in Asia with the highest energy needs, and the country with the most influential economic power. China's oil diplomacy towards Sudan is carried out to secure its energy supply, for the sake of the smooth running of its industry and economy. China gets its oil energy supply from Sudan, amounting to 468,000 barrels per day or 60% of Sudan's daily production. However, Sudan received economic sanctions from the UNSC. As a result of the civil conflict in Darfur. This condition disrupts the security of China's energy supply from Sudan. Thus, the research question that is tried and answered in this study is: How is China's energy diplomacy in securing its energy supply amidst the escalation of the Darfur conflict in 2015-2020. In this study, the author uses the theory of Energy Diplomacy as a basis for strengthening China to secure its energy supply in Sudan. In this study, the author uses a qualitative method by taking data through literature studies as an explanation of the research topic problem. By using this research method, the author can obtain data and information in the form of official documents in the form of organizational and government reports, books/e-books, articles, mass media or internet-based research, and peer-reviewed articles that discuss issues related to the research topic. Through this research, China's energy diplomacy in securing energy supplies, by providing humanitarian assistance and peaceful rise to the Sudanese government.
