Ekstraksi Senyawa Flavonoid dari Daun Kersen (Muntingia Calabura L.) dengan Metode Ultrasonik Assisted Extraction Sebagai Potensi Tabir Surya
Abstract
Kersen leaves are one of the plant components that are easy to find and rich in antioxidant content. In this study, kersen leaves are used as a natural sunscreen compound because they contain natural antioxidants, such as flavonoids, tannins, and phenols. This study aimed to determine the Total Flavonoid Content (TFC) and Sun Protecting Factor (SPF) value of ethanol extract of kersen leaves with 70% solvent concentration. The extraction was carried out using the Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction (UAE) method with simplisia-solvent variations at 30, 40, and 50 deg C for 10 minutes and the ratio of material to solvent of 1/5 and 1/10, respectively. The results showed that the highest yield was achieved at a simplisia-solvent ratio of 1/10 and a wavelength of 24 kHz. In this variation, an average yield of 21.743% was obtained, while the largest TFC value was obtained at a wavelength of 40 kHz with a simplis ratio of 1/10 at 13.393 mgQE/gr. The highest Sun Protecting Factor value was obtained at a simplisia-solvent ratio of 1/10 at 2.470.
