    Abstract
PT Karya Serasi Jaya Abadi is a company that processes palm oil into Crude Palm Oil. During the production process requires supporting materials, namely lubricating materials including Shell Omala S2 G 220, Shell Omala S2 G320, Oil Shell Turbo T 68, Turalik 52, Oil Rored Had 90, Grease Neutron 099, Grease Neutron 088 HT, Shell Gadus S2 V100 which are routine stock material categories that are often used continuously by the factory. This Lubricant material serves as a support for machines in the factory to produce Crude Palm Oil at the Palm Oil Mill, the absence of lubricating material can cause production to stop, therefore it is necessary to control inventory to achieve operating efficiency so that it can run optimally. In this study, there are several problems such as overstock, stockout and the absence of inventory control methods used by the company. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the EOQ method on the company by comparing the results of the total inventory cost of the EOQ method and the total inventory cost of company policy and also determining the optimal order quantity, order frequency, safety stock, reorder point, minimum and maximum inventory and total inventory costs that the company will incur. This study uses 8 types of lubricant materials with the highest demand and those that experience stockouts or overstock. Then from the 8 types of lubricating materials, calculations will be carried out using the EOQ method and the previous company policy conditions. The results showed that the EOQ method is more efficient to use in inventory control compared to company policy, where by using the EOQ method the company can save total inventory costs of Rp. 1,839,646,159.64 with an efficiency level of 77.9% in a year, while the total value of inventory costs with company policy is Rp.2,360,611,952.67
