PENERAPAN METODE ANALYTICAL HIERARCHY PROCESS DALAM PEMILIHAN SUPPLIER BAHAN KEMASAN (STUDI KASUS: PT BIO FARMA (PERSERO))
Abstract
This study examines the application of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in the selection of packaging material suppliers at PT Bio Farma (Persero). The problems faced by the company are delays in delivery, discrepancies in the number of goods, and the quality of packaging materials that do not meet standards, which can disrupt the production process and cause losses. This study aims to determine which criteria should be considered in supplier selection and determine the most suitable supplier based on assessments using the AHP method. Through the analysis conducted, there are seven main criteria evaluated: quality (0.352), cost saving (0.229), delivery (0.118), quantity (0.109), service & complaint handling (0.081), compliance (0.076), and environment (0.035). The evaluation results show that Supplier C is the best choice with a total value of 0.415, followed by Supplier B with a value of 0.359, and Supplier A with a value of 0.226. The inconsistency value in this model is 0.03, which indicates a high level of assessment consistency. The application of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in the selection of packaging material suppliers at PT Bio Farma (Persero) has various implications. First, the use of this method can increase the effectiveness of the procurement process by analyzing relevant criteria and providing appropriate weights, allowing companies to choose suppliers objectively according to operational needs. In addition, by focusing on quality and delivery time criteria, the company can reduce the risk of delays and packaging material quality problems, which are critical to maintaining smooth production and preventing financial losses. Transparency in supplier evaluation can also improve cooperative relationships with them, so that each party can better understand expectations and strive to meet established standards. The results of the AHP analysis which show the success of selecting Supplier C as the best provide a strong basis for management in making decisions, enabling better decisions based on objective analysis. In addition, by considering environmental criteria, the company not only focuses on profitability, but also on operational sustainability, which can improve the company's image in the eyes of the public and meet increasing social and environmental demands.
