Abstract
Indriyani, 103121025. "An Analysis of the Influence of PayLater Services and Financial
Literacy on Impulsive Buying Behavior among Management Students at Universitas
Pertamina."
This study aims to evaluate and analyze the influence of PayLater services and the level of
financial literacy on impulsive buying behavior among university students, with a particular
focus on the extent to which these two variabels contribute to unplanned purchasing decisions.
The research employed a quantitative approach, supported by IBM SPSS version 25 to ensure
systematic and accurate data analysis. The sample consisted of 206 respondents, all of whom
were students from the Management Study Program at Universitas Pertamina. Data were
collected through questionnaires that had previously undergone validity and reliability testing
to ensure the credibility and suitability of the instrument. The data analysis was conducted
using multiple linear regression to assess the relationships and simultaneous effects between
variabels. The findings reveal that PayLater services have a significant positive effect on
students’ tendency toward impulsive buying. Conversely, financial literacy exhibits a
significant negative effect on impulsive buying behavior. Therefore, it can be concluded that
both PayLater services and financial literacy simultaneously have a significant influence on
the impulsive buying decisions of Management students at Universitas Pertamina.
