    Abstract
Adequate parking space is one of the main challenges for Pertamina University as the number of active students continues to increase. The existing parking area is currently unable to accommodate the volume of vehicles, especially during peak usage periods. This situation requires an effective parking management solution to meet the parking space needs of Pertamina University in the coming years. This study aims to analyze the characteristics and requirements of parking spaces at Pertamina University with the goal of addressing parking area issues. The research employs a systematic method, starting with a literature review, problem identification, surveys by counting the entry and exit of student vehicles, data collection, data processing, alternative solutions, and drawing conclusions based on the analysis results. The study was conducted from 06:00 AM to 06:00 PM. The primary data collected from the survey included parking volume, parking accumulation, and parking duration, while the secondary data consisted of the existing parking area size at Pertamina University. A 15-minute interval was used to analyze the survey data. The results show that the highest number of incoming vehicles was 109 motorcycles between 08:30 AM and 08:45 AM. The maximum motorcycle accumulation was 666 vehicles between 09:45 AM and 10:00 AM. The maximum parking duration was 7.53 hours, with an average duration of 3.02 hours. The average parking turnover rate was 4.41 vehicles per parking space, meaning that one parking space served more than four vehicles. The average parking index (IP) was 202.06%, indicating that the parking facility was problematic, as IP > 100%. The required parking capacity was 335 SRP (Standard Parking Spaces), while the current available capacity was only 198 SRP, indicating that the existing parking capacity was insufficient for campus vehicle demand. Based on the analysis and projected future parking needs, Pertamina University will require 349 SRP in 2025, 353 SRP in 2026, 357 SRP in 2027, 361 SRP in 2028, 365 SRP in 2029, and 370 SRP in 2030. With the current capacity of only 198 SRP, it can be concluded that the existing parking facilities at Pertamina University are inadequate for accommodating two-wheeled vehicles. Therefore, alternative recommendations are needed to address the shortage of parking space, such as opening new parking areas or constructing a multi-level parking facility at Pertamina University.
