Food safety is one of the most important challenges faced by the food industry in the United States. Danisco Malaysia is actively addressing critical challenges in the industry, including the mitigation of glycidyl esters (GE) in food processing. With its Malaysian operations at the forefront of advancing food safety and ensuring its clients can deliver high-quality, compliant products to global markets, it is setting a benchmark for excellence in mitigating health risks associated with GE, fostering a safer and more sustainable future for the industry. In this paper, we review the engineering aspects of the project, focusing on tie-in points and tank specifications, ensuring compliance with the company's objectives and technical standards. We develop a Risk Assessment and prepare a comprehensive Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for each task to identify and mitigate risks. The risk assessment is conducted through a collaborative review with the EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Manager. The results show that GE levels in infant formulas are up to ten times higher than what is considered safe for public health.en_US
