    Abstract
Plastic waste poses a major environmental concern due to its non-biodegradable nature and accumulation in landfills and oceans. This project presents the design of a pyrolysis and refining plant capable of processing 10 metric tonnes of industrial plastic waste per day. The proposed system converts waste plastics into valuable fuel products such as diesel and gasoline while ensuring compliance with industrial and environmental standards. Pyrolysis was selected as the main conversion process for its efficiency in decomposing plastic polymers into hydrocarbons, with a fluidized bed reactor chosen to enhance heat transfer and product yield. The refining stage employs a packed distillation column to obtain high-purity fuel fractions. Catalytic pyrolysis using acid-activated natural zeolite (AA-NZ) was adopted to increase fuel yield, improve energy efficiency, and minimize unwanted byproducts. Heat recovery and recycling integration further enhance the plant’s sustainability. Overall, the proposed design offers a technically feasible and environmentally responsible approach to industrial plastic waste valorization.
