dc.description.abstractPT. Pertamina Persero as a company that runs and regulates oil and gas business in Indonesia has a very large business scope. The business that Pertamina handled are activities that correlated to exploration & production, and refinery & marketing. Since a big business that Pertamina did, authority is divided into two big parts, which are upstream and downstream. Activities that included to the upstream are the activities that correlated to the exploration and production activities such as exploration, exploitation, production, and procurement. Those activities usually run by subsidiary company such as Pertamina EP, and Pertamina Hulu Energi. While downstream business runs by PT. Pertamina (Persero) itself, and other subsidiary companies. Before Integrated Supply Chain exist, both upstream and downstream business run their activities their selves. By 2009, Pertamina established Directorate that have role to control the overall business process and oil and gas supply chain in Pertamina. Technically, ISC are responsible to optimize demand and supply from the upstream to the downstream in order to maintain the company’s profitability. As a company that has a responsible to the energy secure in Indonesia, many challenges that faces by Pertamina, either in supply chain itself until in the transportation and distribution. Moreover, company’s stability more and less affected by the political condition in the country.en_US
