dc.description.abstractThe research provides an analysis of China's national interests under President Xi Jinping's leadership on China-Russia energy cooperation relations in the development of the East Siberia pipeline. Under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, China has increasingly sought to enhance its energy cooperation with Russia, particularly regarding the development of the East Siberia pipeline project through the Eastern Siberia Pacific Ocean (ESPO) project and the Power of Siberia project which became a strategic configuration in China's geopolitical maneuvers through the idea of the Belt Road Initiative (BRI). The development of the East Siberian energy pipeline is considered to be a strategic agenda in China's foreign policy that is an important instrument for China to be able to achieve its national interests which include sovereignty, and security and economic development. This situation further shows that energy has become a strategic commodity in ChinaRussia cooperation relations that can imply geopolitical maneuvers carried out by China. Through qualitative research methods supported by geopolitical concepts and national interests, this research will analyze the energy cooperation relations built by China towards Russia in the development of the East Siberian pipeline used to achieve China's national interests that will be strengthened by China's geopolitical perspective in the development of the East Siberia pipeline project.en_US
