dc.description.abstractSierra Leone is one of the many countries in the world experiencing energy poverty. Energy poverty that occurs is due to the population of Sierra Leone being unable to access energy, especially electricity to meet their daily needs. To overcome energy poverty that occurs, the government of Sierra Leone has collaborated with an international organization engaged in the energy sector, namely the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). To find out how IRRENA's role in overcoming energy poverty in Sierra Leone, this study uses a principal agency approach that will focus on how IRENA's steps and actions to address energy poverty in Sierra Leone as an agent that represents the principal's goals. This study also uses qualitative research methods using internet based research as a data collection technique. This research is descriptive analytical by explaining the role of IRENA and then analyzing it. In the end, the role of IRENA has an impact on increasing the use of electrical energy by the people of Sierra Leone by 2.71%. With the success of this project, the people of Sierra Leone can get electricity at a lower price and can be affordable.en_US
