    Abstract
This research is about analysis of lateral buckling subsea pipeline. The analysis was carried out to evaluate whether there is lateral buckling in the pipeline under operating conditions. The finite element method was used CAD Software for modeling and simulation processes. Evaluation of Lateral buckling on the pipeline refers to the practice code DNV-RP-F110 and DNV-OS-F101 with the main parameters effective compressive axial force and strain as simulation results. The simulation results showed that the pipeline will not experience local buckling during operation because the pipeline strain value is smaller than the allowable strain. The pipeline will experience lateral buckling after operating for 10 years and 3 months due to thinning of wall thickness due to corrosion. To prevent pipe displacement or pipeline walking, at the locations that have the highest compressive axial force and strain values, by installing pipe anchors, to reduce loading under operating conditions and increase axial friction between the pipeline and seabed, and applying inline expansion loops. Keywords: Lateral buckling, Finite Element Method, Effective Compressive Axial Force, Stress, Strain
