Analisis Efisiensi Penyaluran Gas Pada Jaringan Gas Rumah Tangga Menggunakan Data Envelopment Analysis (Studi Kasus: Wilayah Penyaluran Gas Rumah Tangga di Kota Depok)

Abstract

Depok city is one of the first cities to implement the household gas network program (jargas) since 2011. In its implementation, there was a number of households that refused to install jargas and there were still households using bottle LPG when they were actually are connected to the jargas. These problems can affect the efficiency of the number of consumers and consumption of household gas produced. This study aims to analyze efficiency of gas distribution within seven distribution area in Depok City using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method and to determine the strategies to increase the efficiency in the areas that are not yet efficient. In this study, the inputs to be used are pipe length, number of RS, capex and opex with the output to be produced is the number of consumers and the level of household gas consumption. The results show that Kemiri Muka, Kukusan and Depok areas have been efficient in distributing household gas to consumers with the amount of consumption that is already on target. While the other four areas Beji, Beji Timur, Pondok Cina and Depok Jaya are not yet efficient thus they need improvement in the form of increasing the number of consumers and gas consumption rate by conducting thorough socialization in the Depok City area as well as improving quality by carrying out regular maintenance, ensuring stable gas distribution by maintaining gas pressure in the distribution pipelines and creating easier of payment facilities
