This research is about development of non-noble metal catalyst CoFe/NC for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) with the aim to determine the activity of catalyst CoFe/NC as an ORR electrocatalyst. The synthesis method used is direct pyrolysis of ferric chloride, cobalt (III) nitrate, glycine and acetylene black at a temperature of 700°C for 2 hours under inert condition (N2 atmosphere). The results of catalyst characterization showed that CoFe/NC has a CoFe alloy phase on XRD results and has a disorder carbon structure, indicated by a high ID/IG value. The results of the catalytic performance of CoFe/NC samples showed a high Eonset result among samples with one type of metal doping (Eonset = 0.90 V vs RHE) which was supported by a fairly high conductivity value and low resistance under working conditions. Thus, CoFe alloys on N-doped carbon can produce good catalytic performance compared to catalysts with one type of metal.en_US
