    Abstract
This design is carried out to determine the wall thickness of NPS 8 pipe with API 5L Gr grade material. X52 to be installed in the field X. The pipe wall thickness is determined based on the ASME B.31.8 and API 1111 code and standards under the conditions of installation, operation and hydrotest. The specified pipe wall thickness must meet the criteria of pressure containment, pressure collapse, local buckling, and propagation buckling. Based on the calculation results, the required wall thickness for the subsea gas pipeline in field X is 5.02 mm in hydrotest conditions,11.97 mm in installation conditions, and 7.02 mm in operating conditions. To meet all the required criteria, the Wall thickness of the NPS 8 pipe that has been validated can be used is 12.7 mm with a schedule pipe 80 based on ASME B36.10. Keywords: Wall thickness, Pressure..containment, pressure collapse, local buckling, propagation buckling, pipeline.
