PRARANCANGAN PABRIK LEVULINIC ACID DARI LIMBAH BIOMASSA PERKEBUNAN KELAPA SAWIT DENGAN KAPASITAS 30.000 TON/TAHU
Abstract
Pre-design of Levulinic Acid Plant from Palm Oil Plantation Biomass Waste with a capacity
of 30,000 TPA which is planned to be built in the Maloy Batuta Trans Kalimantan Special Economic
Zone (KEK MBTK), Sangatta, East Kutai Regency with a required area of 30068.25 m2
and a total area of 30068.25 m2. workforce of 87 people. Using the Biofine Technology for produce Levulinic
Acid. Levulinic acid to be produced has a purity of 94.20% through a delignification, hydrolysis and
purification process. In the production process, the required process support units are water as much
as 477499.8815 kg/hour, electricity 838.079335 kW, fuel in the form of diesel fuel to meet boiler
needs of 65347.8143 kg/hour and generator backup needs of 157.3220295 kg /hour. Based On
Economyc Analysisi we got that Fixed Capital Investment (FCI) is Rp 130,000,322,767.03, Working
Capital (WC) is Rp 1,587,393,636,721.51, Profit Before Taxes is Rp 770,138,764,611.09, Profit
After Taxes sebesar Rp 577,604,073,458.31, Return on Investment (ROI) Before Taxes is 44,84 %,
Return on Investment (ROI) After Taxes is 33,63 %, Pay Out Time (POT) Before Taxes is 2,23 tahun
, Pay Out Time (POT) After Taxes is 2,97 tahun, Break Even Point (BEP) is 8,19 %, Shut Down Point
(SDP) is 7,58 % and Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) when we got the profit on 3 year. Last but not
least, it is concluded that the plant design is worthy of further study and consideration
