dc.description.abstractChina's agenda in 2013 under the leadership of Xi Jinping carried out a major project, namely the Belt Road Initiative (BRI), which is the rebuilding of the ancient Silk Road which is divided into two strategic plans, the Silk Road Economic Belt which will be by land and The 21st Century Maritime Silk Road which through maritime routes. In this case, Indonesia is one of the countries through which the development of the Maritime Silk Road has even passed since centuries ago. This research will then look at China's geoeconomic maneuvers through the use of geoeconomic instruments to achieve its geopolitical goals in the implementation of the BRI mega project in Indonesia which is an extension of China's national interests in terms of development. As for the use of geoeconomic instruments that will be used in observing China's geoeconomic maneuvers in the form of trade policy, investment policy, financial and monetary policy, aid, and energy and commodities. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with secondary data collection techniques, namely through literature studies taken through internet-based and document-based research. The results of this research are through the use of trade policy and investment policy under the BRI framework, China can exercise control over Indonesia and counter the geopolitical influence of other countries in Indonesia, Southeast Asia, the South China Sea and Indo-Pacific.en_US
