Muhammad Aditya Mukti Nugroho. 102217002. Synthesis of solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) with corn starch as the basis for electrochemical energy storage applications. This research is about the process of making solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) based on corn starch and the addition of CH3COONa salt with the aim of knowing the best salt composition to be applied to SPE and knowing the effect of salt composition on the characteristics and performance of SPE. The method used is a quantitative analysis method by interpreting the data obtained based on testing Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Ultimate Testing Machine (UTM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Cyclic Voltammetry (CV). Based on the results of the EIS test, there was a change in the ionic conductivity of the SPE due to the addition of salt with the highest value in the 15 %wt salt composition of 3.687 x 10^(-5) S/cm at room temperature. Through the XRD test, there was an increase in the amorphous level in the crystallinity of the SPE samples due to the addition of salt. In the FTIR test, there is an addition of a chemical bond functional group due to the addition of salt. It was also found due to the addition of salt composition there is a decrease in ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and an increase in energy storage value. So it can be said that cornstarch-based SPE has the potential to be used as an electrolyte in electrochemical-based energy storage devices.en_US
