    Abstract
As Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage is a new technology in Indonesia, this research gathers data and analyse the public’s level of knowledge and acceptance of the Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) project in the Sub-Districts of Kradenan and Kedungtuban, Blora Regency, Indonesia. Additionally, it is analysed if there is a Not in my Backyard (NIMBY) phenomenon in the area, that can hinder the acceptance of the public. The analysis was done through the use of Diffusion of Innovation theory and the Grounded theory. Kepner-Tregoe Decision Analysis (KTDA), the 9 Steps of Energy Communication and Elaboration Likelihood Model was used in designing the Strategic Energy Communications Plan for Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage project in the Sub-districts of Kradenan and Kedungtuban, based on the data gathered, and analysis done to gain and affirm the acceptance of the public towards the CCUS project in Blora.
