Phenol is a raw material widely used in bulk chemical intermediate products in the polycarbonate and printing inks industry, as in producing adipic acid, bisphenol, plasticizers and the most important use of phenolic resins. This phenol manufacturer uses Phenol Synthesis technology by the Oxidation of Toluene. The phenol plant is planned to operate for 330 days / year and 24 hours / day with a phenol production capacity of 30.000 tons / year. This factory is planned to be built in 2026 in the Tuban area, East Java which has an area of around 58,3066 ha. The phenol plant from toluene and benzene raw materials produces the main product with a purity of 99% and by-product benzoic acid with a purity 99%. In general, the phenol synthesis process uses the oxidation of toluene consists of two main steps, 1) oxidation of toluene into benzoic acid, 2) catalytic conversion of benzoic acid into phenols. The management owned by this factory is in the form of a Limited Liability Company (PT) with a total workforce of 124 people. For the calculation of economic evaluation, a fixed capital of Rp 361,691,514,122.24 working capital of Rp 168,566,830,387.41 is needed. Based on the results of the economic evaluation obtained, the paraxylene plant with a capacity of 30.000 tons / year is feasible to be established.en_US
