dc.description.abstractPractical work is one of the compulsory subjects in the curriculum of the Mechanical Engineering Industrial Technology Study Program at Pertamina University with a credit weight of 2 Semester Credit Units (SKS). The basic purpose of practical work activities is to improve the skills and knowledge of mechanical science students in the industrial field and application of science and can compare knowledge in the field with knowledge that has been received in lectures. Understanding of processes and operations in industry is important to increase students' insight into the world of work. Cooperation between companies and higher education institutions needs to be improved so that the academic world can keep up with the developments of the growing industrial world. Therefore, students of UP Mechanical Engineering Study Program are obliged to improve their understanding in terms of science and basic skills. So that in the future graduates from the UP Mechanical Engineering study program can become qualified, professional, and have good analytical skills. Practical work activities are a form of activity so that students have views and descriptions of the needs of the world of work in the industry today this. Students are expected to be able to see firsthand the processes and operations that occur in the practical workplace and also be involved in handling these cases, both directly and in providing ideas. Pertamina University which was founded in 2016 by PT. Pertamina through the Pertamina Foundation is a university that focuses on energy development in Indonesia. With a focus on the energy and renewable energy business, we are committed to becoming a university that is able to improve human resources. This proposal is intended to provide an overview of the extent to which prospective students of Pertamina University KPU participants understand matters related to Practical Work that will be carried out at the Oil and Gas Human Resources Development Center.en_US
