This research is about identifying the types of hazardous and toxic solid waste (B3) and educating the academic community with the first objective being to analyze the generation of B3 solid waste generated by Pertamina University, secondly to identify the characteristics of B3 solid waste generated by the Pertamina University campus, and lastly to improve the educational understanding of the Pertamina University academic community on B3 solid waste. The method used is the TPS B3 observation method, interviews, and the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method for video selection and analysis of B3 waste types. The results of this study indicate that the B3 waste generated by Pertamina University in 2018 was in the form of 9.1 kg used batteries; used cable 13.75 kg; and Packaging of used chemicals, cloth cloth, 3 boxes of sand. As many as 73% and 67% of students do not know that the waste of used cosmetic packaging, used cleaning liquid packaging, used perfume packaging and used ink is B3 waste. So that the disposal or sorting of B3 waste by type at Pertamina University has not been maximized. Therefore, in this study, it is necessary to educate the community regarding proper and correct B3 waste sorting.
