    Abstract
Teluk Lamong Terminal is a terminal that offers loading and unloading services for containers and dry bulk. Current operational conditions have problems in the loading and unloading fleet of containers, so research is needed that can determine the number of fleets to serve one Ship to Shore STS so that loading and unloading activities are optimal. This study aims to determine the number of trucks in loading and unloading activities with a discrete event simulation approach. Discrete Event Simulation is a simulation model in which time changes are influenced by events, in other words the variables do not change continuously. So that the results obtained using a discrate event simulation simulation approach, the number of trucks in the simulation model is 21 fleets serving 3 STS with a total time of 17.85 hours and the proposed model is 24 serving 3 STS with a total time of 12.24 hours.
