dc.description.abstract | Microcontroller is an electronic device that is packaged in an Integrated Circuit in the
form of a chip and is designed to perform a specific task. One of the most widely used
microcontroller devices in industrial automation is PLC or Programmable Logic Controller.
This is because PLCs can be used for equipment with high voltages such as industrial
equipment in general. PLC can not only be used for industrial automation, but can also be used
as a controller in an IOT (Internet of Things) based Monitoring System on a ship. The
Monitoring System installed on this ship can not only monitor the status of various indicators
contained in ship operations such as navigation, cargo capacity, and ship engine performance.
But it can also send all the data on a cloud so that the data can be monitored remotely using
IoT principles. The whole process is integrated in a system called Smartship System. In this
practical work, PLC Programming Design, Smartship Electric Network Built Drawing, and
Smartship Manual Book Preparation were carried out. Until the results are obtained in the form
of a Smartship Manual Book and hardware and software designs from the Smartship System. | en_US |
