dc.description.abstractFildzah Tatia Putri. 102317089. Utilization of Orange and Banana Peel Waste as Bio-Battery Materials. This research was conducted to utilize the waste of orange and banana peel as a bio-battery material that can be used by the local community while reducing the waste from orange and banana peels which has negative impact on the surrounding environment. This research was conducted in four main stages, first literature study and material preparation carried out at Avicenna Jagakarsa High School to consider several parameters to be used. The second steps is the manufacture of orange and banana peel paste. Then the third step is testing the electrolyte on the orange and banana peel paste. In this study, drying was carried out with variations in temperature and time to determine the optimum conditions for the bio-battery material, variations in temperature and time using 50oC, 70oC and 110oC for 10 minutes and 20 minutes. The results of the electrolyte test on the orange and banana peel paste showed that the maximum voltage was obtained at a drying temperature of 50oC for 10 minutes with an electrical voltage value of 1.182 V. Meanwhile, the new A5 battery has a voltage of 1.5 V. Therefore, orange and banana peels has the potential to replace conventional batteries.
