This study aims to re-examine the effect of digital literacy, and perceptions of personal data security on the decision to use e-wallets as a payment system for MSMEs in the Jakarta area. The population of this study are MSME owners in the Jakarta area. The hypotheses in this study are (1) digital literacy influences the decision to use e-wallet as a payment system for MSMEs in the Jakarta area, (2) perceptions of personal data security influence the decision to use e-wallets as a payment system for MSMEs in the Jakarta area. The sampling procedure used is purposive sampling, namely MSME owners in the Jakarta area and e-wallet users who are active in the transaction process with consumers. Respondents in this study amounted to 100 MSME owners and managers in the Jakarta area. The instrument used in this study was measured by modifying the research on digital literacy status in Indonesia in 2021 conducted by the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and measuring personal data security using indicators of security guarantees and data confidentiality by Raman Arasu and Viswanathan in 2011. Test results with a level of trust 95 percent indicated that there was a positive influence of digital literacy on decisions to use e-wallets (Sig = 0.200), and there was a positive influence of perceptions of personal data security on decisions to use e-wallets (Sig = 0.000).
