dc.description.abstractManaging impressions in Social Media (Phenomenology Study of the Process of Managing Impressions and Self Presentations on Instagram Secondary Accounts by Teens). The purpose of this study is to describe how teenagers manage their impressions and present themselves in secondary and primary accounts on Instagram. The researcher uses Dramaturgical perspective theory which in the theory explains the concept of managing impression and self presentation. So from this concept can explain the phenomenon of Instagram. The method used in this study is a qualitative method of phenomenological study and purposive sampling technique in which the source of the research data is in the form of 3 teenage study participants who have secondary accounts. The data obtained in this study uses in-depth interview techniques in the hope that research participants can tell their experiences holistically. Researchers also performed data analysis and interpretation using the Van Kaam method of data analysis techniques. To test the quality / validity of the data obtained, researchers used the member checking method. The results obtained in this study are primary and secondary accounts are different sides of front stage.en_US
