Pengaruh Faktor Demografi dan Variabel Makroekonomi terhadap Kemiskinan di Sumatera Utara
Abstract
This study aims to look at the influence of demographic factors and macroeconomic variables
on poverty in North Sumatra in 2016-2021. The areas in this study covered 33 regencies/cities
in North Sumatra Province. The method used in this study is panel data analysis with secondary
data types. This study uses the poverty variable as the dependent variable. Meanwhile, education
level, unemployment, income per capita, district/city minimum wage, and population are the
independent variables. The results showed that education and per capita income level had a
negative and significant effect on poverty, unemployment and population had a positive and
significant effect on poverty, while district/city minimum wages had a negative and insignificant
effect on poverty.
