dc.description.abstract | The need for fuel oil in Indonesia in 2021 touched 29 million kl. With a number of fuel oil
needs, Indonesia continues to import gasoline as much as 18.9 million KL. This amount is
calculated to be still too much because the fuel available in Indonesia can only meet the demand
of 10.1 million KL. Fuel oil can also be produced from vegetable ingredients, for example
bioethanol and biobutanol. Both examples can be produced from cassava and cassava bark.
The large number of cassava in Indonesia because the cultivation process is not difficult has
the potential to be used as raw material for biobutanol. Cassava can produce as much as 1020
liters of oil per hectare and provides an energy equivalence of 6600 kWh per hectare. The
process of making biobutanol consists of 2 main processes, namely hydrolysis to convert starch
into glucose in the water and continued in the fermentation process to convert glucose into
butanol with the help of clostridium acetobutylicum bacteria. The process of making biobutanol
consists of 2 main processes, namely hydrolysis to convert starch into glucose in the water and
continued in the fermentation process to convert glucose into butanol with the help of
clostridium acetobutylicum bacteria. The products produced from this process are Acetone,
Butanol, Ethanol, CO2, and H2. The location of the factory will be located in the Lampung
area adjacent to the location of raw materials, namely the tapioca tapung factory. Based on
economic analysis, data on the calculation of investment capital of IDR 1,038,564,164,391.87
and net profit of IDR 1,599,858,621,310.71with an IRR of 13.25%. | en_US |
