    Abstract
At the Central Jakarta Post Office there are constraints related to vehicle capacity that have not been used optimally, so this can affect transportation costs incurred. Therefore, the aim of this research is to minimize transportation costs at the Central Jakarta Post Office, especially for sending packages using express postal services (PE). The data used in this study were obtained from delivery data on September 14, 2022. The routes used by the Indonesian Post Office for delivery activities totaled 55 routes for 8 districts. However, in this study, out of the 8 sub-districts served, 2 sub-districts were selected which had the highest number of deliveries in the Central Jakarta area, with 5 delivery officers for the Gambir and Tanah Abang areas. The saving matrix method is used to determine the optimal route with time window limitations and vehicle capacity used by the Central Jakarta Post Office. There are 31 demand points with a total request of 97 documents that need to be delivered. Based on the results of data processing, the total distance traveled between the proposed route and the existing route is 42.4% and the total transportation cost is 2.95%. Therefore, the route proposed for the Central Jakarta Post Office is good to implement by looking at a significant increase in efficiency proportion.
