    Abstract
    Cultural diplomacy is a form of diplomacy that is currently often used by many countries which aims to create a positive image of a country through the use of culture.Culture is considered capable of providing identity to achieve the interests of the state,eliminating negative views from the outside and increasing the economy ofa country. The cultural sector consists of sports, tourism, music, film, and other cultural sectors that are able to represent local culture to develop interculturalunderstanding. In Thailand, film has the potential to represent local culture, erase the world's negativeperspective on Thailand and boost the economy. Thus, the Thai government initiated several efforts to promote the Thai film industry, especially in several Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia in 2018-2023 which are considered as a form of Thai cultural diplomacy. Therefore, to find out what effortshave been made by the Thai government, this research will utilize the concept of cultural diplomacy which originates from Simon Mark. The method that will be appliedto analyze this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach which shows the results of the research that the Thai government organizes several programs as a formof cultural diplomacy practices namely; (1) Thailand Film Festival and (2) Bangkok ASEAN Film Festival.
