dc.description.abstract | This research is about the trial of dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC) using natural
dyes, namely variations in the color of moon orchid flowers with the aim of
identifying the effect of dyes from variations in the color of Indonesian endemic
orchid flowers on dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC), knowing the highest peak
power value of dye sensitized solar cells (DSSC) from extracts of various color
variations of Indonesian endemic orchid flowers, knowing the best efficiency value
of variations in orchid flower color samples using TiO2 semiconductors. The
method used is the UV Vist test method to determine the level of absorption in the
sample, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) to analyze the functional groups
contained in the sample, solar test and UV lamp to get the highest peak power value
of the moon orchid flower color variation, and efficiency test to see the performance
of the sample. The results of the tests that have been carried out obtained the highest
peak power value is in the orange orchid sample solar light testing at minute 15
starting time 11:05 pm with sunlight intensity 1755 obtained voltage value 132.4
mV, current 0.406 mA, and power 5.38E-05 Watt, and for UV lamp testing the
highest value is at minute 15 starting time 15:15 pm with UV lamp intensity 438
obtained voltage value 113.3 mV, current 0.323 mA, and power 3.66E-05 Watt.
