    Abstract
Analysis of the Influence of Physical and Mechanical Properties on Claystone Material Durability Kerek Formation, Semarang Regency, Central Java. The Kerek Formation is generally composed of claystone. Claystone is identified as a unit with low durability, while infrastructure development, especially toll roads, within the Kerek Formation is expected to continue and expand. This research involved slake durability testing using 8 samples from the Kerek Formation. Other properties tested included physical properties, mechanical properties, and mineralogy, to analyze the relationship between the physical and mechanical properties of the rock and the durability of the Kerek Formation. The research results included correlations between durability (SDI) and the physical and mechanical properties of the rock, as well as minerals, using a two-variable Regression Analysis. This analysis included the coefficient of determination (R2) to indicate the impact between independent and dependent variables, the correlation coefficient (R) to show the relationship between independent and dependent variables. Based on the research results, it was found that in terms of the physical properties of the rock, the moisture content had the most significant impact on slaking, with a negative regression coefficient pattern. Meanwhile, in terms of the mechanical properties of the rock, the Direct Shear Test, which measures the interparticle bonding or cohesion, had the most significant impact, with a positive regression coefficient pattern. The mineral that had the most significant impact on durability was montmorillonite, with a negative regression coefficient pattern.
