dc.description.abstract | The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has the task of
increasing public knowledge regarding disasters, one of which is related to
earthquake disasters. One of the ways BMKG uses to increase public knowledge
about earthquakes is through the Instagram account @infobmkg. Therefore, the aim
of this research is to determine the influence of exposure to social media and the
attractiveness of social media content Instagram @infobmkg on the level of
earthquake disaster knowledge. This research uses a quantitative approach with
Purposive Sampling sampling techniques. This research was conducted using a
questionnaire method to 100 respondents with the criteria for respondents being
followers and readers of earthquake natural disaster content on the @infobmkg
account. This research analysis uses Information Processing Theory. The results of
this research show: 1) Exposure to the social media Instagram account @infobmkg
has a significant effect on the level of earthquake disaster knowledge with a
regression coefficient value of 3,042; 2) The attractiveness of the content of the
Instagram account @infobmkg has a significant effect on the level of earthquake
disaster knowledge with a regression coefficient value of 0,343; 3) Exposure to
social media and the attractiveness of the content of the Instagram account
@infobmkg simultaneously have a significant effect on the level of earthquake
disaster knowledge with a significance value of 0.000 | en_US |
